Veterinary Council (Registration of Veterinary Surgeons) Regulations 1995

1. These regulations may be cited as the Veterinary Council (Registration of Veterinary Surgeons) Regulations 1995.

2. In these regulations –

"Act" means the Veterinary Council Act.

3. (1) An application for full or temporary registration as a veterinary surgeon shall be made in the form set out in the First Schedule.

(2) The application shall be deposited with the Registrar by the applicant in person and shall be accompanied by –

 (a) the applicant's diploma in veterinary surgery;

 (b) an official copy of his birth certificate;

 (c) his national identity card or a valid passport;

 (d) the registration fees specified in regulation 5.

4. A certificate of registration issued under section 18 of the Act shall be –

(a) in the case of full registration, in the form set out in the Second Schedule;

(b) in the case of temporary registration, in the form set out in the Third Schedule.

5. (1) There shall be payable on registration as a veterinary surgeon a registration fee of 1,000 rupees.

(2) The fee specified in paragraph (1) shall be deposited by an applicant seeking registration and shall –

 (a) Where the applicant is registered, be retained; or

 (b) where his application is refused by the Council, be returned to
