Code Civil Mauricien (Authorised Institutions) Regulations 1994

1. These regulations may be cited as the Code Civil Mauricien (Authorised Institutions) Regulations 1994.

2. (1) Article 1154 of the Code Civil Mauricien shall not apply to a housing loan granted by the Mauritius Housing Company Ltd. for the purchase of a house from the National Housing Development Company Ltd.

(2) Interest accruing on a loan under paragraph (1) shall not be computed
in respect of periods of less than one month.

Code Civil Mauricien (Exemption) Regulations 1994

[GN 133 of 1994 – 23 July 1994] [Article 1658]

1. These regulations may be cited as the Code Civil Mauricien (Exemption) Regulations 1994.

2. Where the sale of any housing unit or land for the purpose of putting up housing units by or to a body specified in Part I of the Schedule is approved by the Minister responsible for the subject of finance, it shall not be challenged on ground of vileté de prix or lésion.

3. No sale of land or building pursuant to sections 11 and 12 of the Sugar Industry Efficiency Act by or to a body or person referred to in Part II of the Schedule shall be challenged on ground of vileté de prix or lésion.

4. Any transfer of land or building to the Government pursuant to regulation 7(6) of the Investment Promotion (Real Estate Development Scheme) Regulations 2007 is authorised by the Minister responsible for the subject of finance in accordance with Article 1658 of the Code Civil Mauricien.
