Removal of Sand Regulations 1975

[GN 142 of 1975 – 15 October 1975] [Section 18]

1. These regulations may be cited as the Removal of Sand Regulations 1975.

2. In these regulations –

"Act" means the Removal of Sand Act.

3. A permit to remove sand, a receipt for the sale of sand and an authority for the transport of sand shall be in the form set out in Form A, Form B and Form C of the First Schedule, respectively.

4. The fee for an authorisation to remove sand from the sea or a river and for a licence to deal in sand shall be the fee specified in the Second Schedule.

5. The maximum price at which sand may be sold shall be the fee specified in the Third Schedule.

6. For the purpose of section 7 of the Act, the locations –

(a) specified in the Fourth Schedule;

(b) indicated by the buoys specified in the first column of that Schedule; and

(c) bearing the corresponding geographical coordinates specified in the second and third columns of that Schedule,

shall be the location in the sea from which sand may be removed.
